The Loft Bedroom   Oma's Hapu'u Hideaway

The loft bedroom is up a flight of stairs, under the large peaked roof. The loft has a very open feeling, with unobstructed views of the tangled upland rainforest from four large picture windows in the front, and from the back windows over the bed.

The house's jungle theme continues in the loft, with a large banana tree overhanging the stairs, parrot rugs on the floor, rattan chairs with leaf-patterned cushions, colorful wooden fish and Pacific Island storyboards hanging on the walls, and a tiger gazing between railing posts into the livingroom below.

The bed is a king size black elephant bamboo platform bed from Bali, with a down comforter and two sets of pillows.

There is a collection of "coffee-table" books in the loft, with topics covering art, travel, and photo-biographies of interesting people.
